ACTIVATION INSTRUCTIONS
- iOS Device
To activate an eSIM on an iPhone using a QR code, you can:
- Open the Camera app
- Scan the QR code
- Tap the Mobile Data Plan Detected notification
- Follow the prompts to activate the eSIM
You can also activate an eSIM by going to Settings > Cellular > Set Up Cellular or Add eSIM. Then, tap Use QR Code and follow the prompts.
If you're using an iPhone with iOS 17.4 or later, you can also touch and hold the QR code in an email or from the network provider's webpage. Then, tap Add eSIM.
If you're having trouble activating your eSIM, you can try these steps:
- Verify the new line (below eSIMs) is turned on in Settings > Cellular
How to turn on your iOS eSIM line:
- Go to Settings.
- Tap Cellular or Mobile.
- Tap your eSIM line.
- Toggle on Turn On This Line.
- Toggle on Data Roaming.
Remember to turn off data roaming for your primary line to avoid roaming charges from your home provider.
- Android Device
To use an eSIM QR code on an Android phone, you can:
- Open Settings
- Go to Network & Internet or Connections
- Select Mobile network or SIM card manager
- Tap Add mobile plan or Add eSIM
- Tap Add using QR code
- Scan the QR code from your carrier
- Follow the on-screen instructions
If you can't scan the QR code, you can enter the activation details manually.
How to turn on your Android eSIM line:
- Go to Settings.
- Tap Network & Internet.
- Tap Mobile Network.
- Turn on your eSIM.
- Turn on Mobile Data.
- Turn on Data Roaming.
Remember to turn off data roaming for your primary line to avoid roaming charges from your home provider.
